Embed your code into WordPress

Step 1: Create a Secure Forms application and copy the script to your clipboard using the COPY SCRIPT button or send it to your email address with the SEND WITH EMAIL button.

Step 2: Follow the steps in WordPress's guide for embedding custom code to install the Secure Forms snippet into your website.

Embed your code into Wix

Overview

XQ makes it easy to use and create a Secure Forms application for your website. Secure Forms can be used with websites hosted anywhere including Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress. 

After creating a Secure Forms application, you can embed an HTML code snippet into your website’s header. This code snippet works to encrypt all form data on your website and works with existing forms, so there is no need to create new forms.

How it works

With Secure Forms installed on your website, it works by automatically locating forms on your and encrypting user data before the data is submitted.

Once the form data is submitted, the data is emailed to authorized team members and can only be decrypted by those same team members. Authorized team members are added during setup. See the Secure Forms setup guide for more information on creating and managing authorized team members.

Viewing Secure Forms submissions

Step 1: After a secure form response is submitted, all authorized recipients will receive an email with the subject "New Secure Form Submission" from no-reply@xqmg.com.

If the form contains an attachment, download the encrypted file to your computer before proceeding to the next step.

Click the Unlock Message button to view the decrypted message from the XQ admin portal.

Step 2: You will now see your message on the Decrypt Message page in the XQ Dashboard.

If you've previously downloaded a decrypted file, click on the Decrypt File tab and drag it into the dropzone. You can then download the decrypted file directly from the dashboard.

Responding to Secure Form Submissions

Step 1: Click the REPLY button below your decrypted message.

Step 2: Enter your recipient's email address and input your desired subject and message. You can attach a file in the drop-zone if needed.

Set a message expiration and choose to send a copy to yourself and/or require user authentication to read.

Click SECURE SEND to complete the process.

Embed your code into Squarespace

Refer to the following instructions to embed your code throughout your entire Squarespace site. This will automatically encrypt form data on any form on your website.

Step 1: Create a Secure Form application and copy the script to your clipboard using the COPY SCRIPT button or send it to your email address with the SEND WITH EMAIL button.

Step 2: From your Squarespace account, click on Settings in the left-hand navigation bar.

Step 3: Click Advanced, then select Code Injection.

Step 4: Paste your embed code in the HEADER section and click SAVE in the top-right corner of the page.

You have successfully installed Secure Forms on your Squarespace site. All forms on your website will be encrypted.

Embed your code on a single page

You may want to embed your code on a single page instead of throughout your entire website. This will only encrypt form data on the page the code is embedded on.

Step 1: To encrypt the forms on a specific page, choose Pages in the left-hand navigation bar.

Step 2: Choose the desired page and click the gear icon on the page list.

Step 3: In the Page Settings modal, click Advanced and paste your embed code in the text box.

Create a Secure Forms application

Step 1: Open the XQ Dashboard and click on Secure Forms in the left-hand navigation bar. Then, click the Get Started button.

Step 2: Enter the application's nickname in the Form Nickname field. This should be a recognizable name that will help you identify it later. Then, click Next.

Step 3: Edit the following Access Permissions for your application:

• Email Address Access: Enter the email addresses of recipients who can read the form responses.
• Allow XQ to send form responses via email to recipients: Choose whether your recipients receive an immediate email after the form has been completed. If you turn this off, you can choose another response delivery format from the dropdown list.
• Description: A brief description to help others identify the form. This will be visible on the XQ Dashboard.
• Redirect URL: Enter the page URL you would like to redirect users to after successful form submission. This field is optional.
• Submission Message Expiry Time: From the dropdown list, choose the length of time the message can be viewed.

Click Next once complete.

Step 4: On the Embed Code page, copy the script to your clipboard using the COPY SCRIPT button or send it to your email address with the SEND WITH EMAIL button.

Click DONE to complete the process.

You can now add the HTML snippet to your website.

If you need to edit the access permissions of this form later, you can view it from the Secure Forms section of the XQ Dashboard.
